i was just reading kathy acker's new york in 1979. it's so frazzled and dystopian. i have to go. listening to living with eating disorders and reading kathy acker is a really fantastic way to relax. the "selling self-hate" demo is very atmospheric and plaintive and pretty, and kathy acker's writing is a perfect juxtaposition, it's very frantic and explicit and allovertheplace. the thing that could've made it better would have been "totally obsessed" but digital cable lied, and it wasn't on tonight.
