currently listening to: "ostia (the death of pasolini)" by coil

i'm watching "SALO" for the second time. i'm so happy jimmy downloaded it for me! and he's going to buy it for me on DVD this month! I LOVE IT. i love that pasolini was not afraid to express these things. if you're going to make a film about fascism, about anything one is against, this is the way to do it. show it in its full glory. with a simpering creep telling bad jokes to "lighten the mood". this is fucking terrifying. i can't stop thinking about the wedding scene.

also incredible, i felt, was "little children". i was so impacted by that i don't know if i could watch it again. it hit pretty hard, and i wasn't expecting it.

i'm going to resume writing, as i'm trying to get in as much of that as possible before i go back to school, but one final note: ISAAC HAYES DIED TODAY and i am majorly distraught.

if anybody should ask i'm going to a seminar
