currently listening to: "mein herr" by the dresden dolls

i did not know "mein herr" was written specifically for the film (cabaret) and not a part of the original production. i actually sat down and watched the whole film over the weekend. it wasn't so bad because the musical numbers are all where they should be, which is not in the context of normal action, except for the nazi one, which, as it was done, did not seem too totally unrealistic being a cappella and in german, which i gratefully cannot understand.

i am trying to write a substantial portion of this essay for class tomorrow and i am worried about getting up on time and worried about the quality of my writing. the essay does not come naturally to me. i regress into the irrelevant too quickly. i don't like it when i can't make things up. i didn't feel so great about my first page but that was very well recieved. i'll do fine and i'll know it.

i think i've made a very very good friend. i really hope i have.
