"ever since i've known you, you've been been dragged by wild horses of prose and now you have them in the reigns. do you know james joyce? he's who can teach you now."

melt. melt. melt. thank you, professor. i needed that.

i broke up with mark in a barnes & noble in ithaca. it was unpleasant. we argued all over the city and the cornell campus. it is a viscerally embarrassing thing to bicker about the ivies. the cornell bookstore's author spotlight was on nabokov and i was in such a rotten state i couldn't even spend money and get laughter in the dark in its nice new edition because i didn't want to associate any object with that trip. poor ithaca. I WILL JUST HAVE TO GO BACK and correct the experience. with gretchen when she gets in for writing.

and we got the laser printer! grant-free, with proceeds from sales! so now i have a much brighter mental forecast, a lot of money, and the bookstore has the original of laura. today is BADASS.

if anybody should ask i'm going to a seminar
